VON BARF PREMIUM SELECTION GAME
VON BARF PREMIUM SELECTION GAME comes in a 2kg package (8 sausages of 250g).
Game meat can certainly be considered the most eco-friendly farmed meat. This product is a true delicacy from nature and an interesting change in your dog’s diet.
Game meat is characterized by a low fat and cholesterol content, so it is extremely suitable for dogs who need to limit fat intake due to certain health conditions, e.g. dogs that have liver and/or pancreatic disorders. It is also recommended for anemic animals due to its high iron content.
Besides iron, game meat is considered an excellent source of phosphorus, potassium, and certain B group vitamins.
The superior quality of this meat stems from the fact that these animals live in the wild, choose the plants and fruits they feed on, drink water from natural sources, move freely, and are devoid of the stress present in animals raised in intensive farming.
Ingredients:
- game meat (roe deer, deer) 60%
- game offal (rumen, heart, liver) 25%
- vegetables and fruits 15%
FEEDING GUIDE
The amount of food needed for one meal should be thawed and served when it reaches room temperature. This food must not be exposed to high temperatures, cooked or heated in the microwave.
Thawed BARF can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. When taken out of the refrigerator, the meal should be served when it reaches room temperature.
NUMBER AND SIZE OF MEALS
As this food does not contain ground bones and cartilage, we recommend that you combine it with other raw Von BARF products to provide a complete meal for your dog in combination with other products. With this product, it would be best to offer your dog bones, appropriately sized and proportioned to the size of your dog, 2–3 times a week. Give preference to bones that have a lot of cartilage on their edges/joint parts, and it is desirable that they also have some meat on them. The bones must be raw. (Satisfying the idea of a complete meal does not mean that the dog has to receive exactly determined amounts of different nutrients every day, but that the idea of a complete meal is satisfied over a week to ten days by combining different foods and meals.)
The size of the meal depends on the body mass, activity, and age of the dog. For an adult dog, it is usually about 2% of body weight. The recommended daily meal for puppies is 3% of the expected body weight in adulthood.
It is recommended to feed adult, healthy dogs once a day. If the dog is used to eating 2–3 meals a day, this routine can be continued.
Puppies, bitches in the late stages of pregnancy and lactation, and dogs with health problems are usually fed several times a day.
It is recommended to weigh your dog before starting to feed with BARF and again 2 to 3 weeks later. Depending on what you wanted to achieve (maintaining body mass, losing weight, gaining mass), adjust the size of the meal.
